The London Camera Club was founded  in 1934 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1961.  Our meetings are held 4 Thursdays per month September to May inclusive, except for December which has only 2 meetings. (Check the calendar for topics.) Starting time is always 7:30pm and the meetings generally last about two hours. We meet at the Village Green Community Church,  505 Village Green Avenue, London, Ontario (one block south of Commissioners Rd. on Wonderland Rd S).  map   We are an all volunteer club serving London Ontario and surrounding area.

Here is some generic insight into our club that you may find helpful :

• we are an all volunteer non profit club
• we have 200 members, current members range from students to retirees, and from professionals to novices.
• about 40% of the members consider themselves beginners and 45% consider themselves intermediate (the rest advanced)
• there is a variety of Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax etc users - most members indicated they joined to be socially involved with other photographers and learn more about photography
• because of the diversity of the membership, which makes it difficult to satisfy everyone all of the time, we focus on broad topics that provide introductions to different types of photography so members can learn more about the hobby
• we sometimes have weekend workshops on topics where there is more concentrated learning on a subject
• field trips allow one to photograph with others where you might meet someone who can provide you with a tip or technique specific to the event

How To Join

Before joining, prospective members are encouraged to sit in on a meeting to see for yourself what we are all about. Please read our Guest and visitor policy here first. Once you decide that you want to join, use the forms here or you can do so at the door just before any regular meeting. Note that some nights there will be guest fees or member only nights so please check the calendar here first.

Note: a personal cheque is preferred for membership fees and Paypal is the preferred method to pay for events; please choose the option you prefer but please no cash payments.
